About
Built by People Who Actually Work on Wine-Trade Software
Bacchus ERP is built by an engineering team that works on the specific mechanics of the fine wine trade: bonded-warehouse bond status, lot/case/bottle stock lineage, en primeur allocation, and wine-trade duty and VAT. It is not a generic retail or accounting system adapted to fit around them. That is what the people building it actually work on, day to day.
Why This, Not a Generic ERP
Most ERP and inventory platforms are built for stock that behaves like a fixed SKU: the same item, in the same form, from purchase to sale. Fine wine doesn’t work that way. A lot bought en primeur becomes physical stock years later. A case splits into bottles, or bottles get repacked into a new case. Bond status changes as stock moves between warehouses. Building for the wine trade specifically, instead of retrofitting a generic system, is the whole reason Bacchus ERP exists.
A Live Platform, Not a Slide Deck
Bacchus ERP runs in production today. Real stock-unit tracking down to the individual lot, case, and bottle. A real UK ABV-based duty and VAT engine with effective-dated rate bands. A real double-entry, append-only financial ledger, with a trial balance computed live from postings rather than a cached total. And a real cellarage cost-recovery billing loop that matches warehouse charges to client holdings and posts the invoices. These aren’t roadmap items. They are the mechanics the platform is already running on.
What We’re Building Toward
Bonded-warehouse connectivity, live broker trade execution, and a fully connected accounting sync are still being built out to their real external endpoints. We’d rather tell you that plainly than let a features page speak for itself — see Integrations for exactly what’s connected today.
